race at silverstone 6 septemebr
Some of us took part in 2 allcomers races at Snetterton a few weeks back, and as they were so well supported, MSVR are having some more at Silverstone in September. Here is the notification from Dave Willey at MSVR:
We are offering a special double header of Silverstone National All Comer Races, open to all types of sports, sports racing and saloon cars. Tyre choice is free, and all cars must comply with MSA safety and environmental regulations. The Silverstone National All Comer Races are taking place on the Silverstone National circuit on Saturday 6 September.
Tracktime format is:
· 1 x 15 minute qualifying
· 2 x 15 minute races
With 2 races taking place on the day it is a great opportunity to get 2 upgrade signatures for your race licence.
Entry fee is only £250.
We have the following entrants so far:
Billy Fletcher
Ian Smythe
Ed Fuller
John Walton
Bill and Irene plus Gordon and his wife are looking to come along and socialise/spectate. There should be some more spare tickets if anyone else is interested
If anyone else wants to enter then let me know and I will send you the entry form.
This is likely to be the first "HIGH SPEED, LOW COST" event, so lets make it one to remember

That would mean you would fail to qualify at the low cost end, how much have you spent just to be better than Jd?

Chantelle Eduardo Numbnuts, using the hole in my wallet to calculate, you have spent more on your engine than I have spent on my entire car

Re: race at silverstone 6 septemebr
Who's interested in camping over on the Saturday night after the racing?
I have tried enquiring about camping on the campsite at Silverstone, but the phone is constantly engaged!
From looking at the events lists, it is the annual "TRAX" event (boy racers day out) on the Sunday with drifting, time-attack, show cars etc. The whole area will be full of clubs, stands, etc including the camp site. Consequently, I reckon camping will not be available. However, as it is such a large show and we are already on the site, then I reckon we could hide away in a corner and stay over, then look round the show on the Sunday. Anyone wanting to give it a try?

Hi Ed
You will see from the timetable we are the first practice session, and there is also a note to say you can sign on from 4 to 6 on the Friday if you want. Consequently, I am going to try and make it there about 6, but might not be there till a bit later.
I will be in the Mk4 as the engine is still out of the Mk2.

Re: race at silverstone 6 septemebr
Well I'm up against a Tiger RS6 of stu Fenton, you take the p1$$ out of me for what I spend on my car (it's not as much as you think) but his engine will be more than my motorhome is worth, giving him 80bhp more so it will be fun trying to keep up.
Billy how do you fancy your chances of beating the GT3 in your moped powered creation?
