THE FUTURE?
Listed below are thoughts for future events. Please have a read and let us have some feed-back:
1. Entering value-for-money allcomers races in motor racing events. Performance Index points can be calculated to add some light hearted competitive fun as per the Race Challenge.
2. Run what you brung (RWYB) at Santa Pod 26th October. This is on a Sunday, but on the Saturday it is their Flame & Thunder meet with jet cars, drag racers, drift cars, stunt cars, etc followed by a big bonfire, massive fireworks display, live band for those staying overnight. Cost would be £30 (pre-booked) per person for the weekend, and £25 for the RWYB. If your only coming for the RWYB there is a £10 entrance fee for that day.
3. Trackday/sprint at various locations. There is a possibility that events can be supplied which can start off as a track day, then have a timed section at the end for a bit of fun. Some light hearted competetive fun can be arranged as per the speed challenge nominated times.
4. Hillclimbing at St Goueno in France next year (late May, early June). This may be combined with another hillclimb in France the previous weekend.
5. For those with road-legal cars, various "blats" around the countryside can be arranged either buy ourselves or in conjunction with other clubs. I have been with a club where they have the route on a software programme that is loaded onto your sat-nav (if it will accept ITN files) giving a list of way-points. This allows you to proceed at your own pace and meet up at a pub or café at the end.
6. Social gatherings, possibly including camping at car shows or other places of interest.
