So 2 hours of circuit racing at £250 compared to a sprint/hillclimb event at £100 for circa 10 minutes ...........

Welcome to our world.
Silverstone was also a bargain.
But, these are all comers racers and November at Snett' may require snow tyres

Come on Andy, Paul Watermouse and Geoff O are looking to join us (my car will be back next year).
Might seem a bit pricey to start off with but once you get past the first bit you will be made up.
You will love it, I seem to remember a quote from Ian Smyth about the difference between sprinting and circuit racing likening it to sex and wanking, I cant remember which way it went but it sounded good at the time
Re: Snetterton 8/9 Noverber
I am 99% certain of entering this one. November is usually cold but with clear skies, so I will take a chance.

In fact, thinking about it, it may be preferable to doing the Birkett.

Re: Snetterton 8/9 Noverber
When we raced at Snetterton there was a meeting for all the drivers in the allcomers races, and it was broadly agreed that the reason for the excellent size of the grid was the low entry fee.
They then had the Silverstone races, which were still cheap, but not as cheap as Snetterton (because its not an MSVR circuit).
They are now having the races in November, and you wont get cheaper racing than that, even with a 6 car team in the Birkett (and remember you have to add your 750MC membership to the entry fee). Consequently, I think I would want to support their cheap allcomers races initiative, as it may lead to further cheap races in 2015.

Pmsl that is a bit of a sore subject at the moment it would appear that glaswegen for surface rust and non structural rust appear to be somewhat different to the black country version
I still purchased the shit heap at a much reduced price but im curently in the process of welding in sills along the length of the van and bear in mind its 21 feet long ! Its that bad i havent let lisa see it yet lol
It may make it snett for the heritage race but we will see ! I will post some pictures in the chit chat section later

Re: Snetterton 8/9 Noverber
This event is for the winter series of the BRDC Formula 4, and also the Ginetta Juniors, and that's it! Consequently, with one of those in the pit garages (F4 I should think), there should be plenty of space in the paddock for the allcomers
Max grid size is 45 cars, so hopefully there will be a good turnout like last time (40 cars).
If anyone needs an entry form then e-mail me at highspeedlowcostATgmailDOTcom putting @ and . in the right places.

I've given the team a target of getting the car ready for this one If they manage to give me good progress reports in the next couple of weeks, I'm in.

Re: Snetterton 8/9 Noverber
Not good now I'm afraid. It seems the current custodian of the car has no plans to take it to Oulton this weekend, which means not only am I the holder of £250 worth of spectator tickets, I can't get the engine out of it to transfer into the Blue car. This also pushes my next available race to Mar 2016. I won't say anymore as I will appear very unprofessional.

Re: Snetterton 8/9 Noverber
My entry is now in for this race, and has been accepted
In true High Speed Low Cost tradition, I got it in before ED's entry so I can use number 12, which was our team number at the Heritage relay
