John Jack Walton
Born at a very early age as a result of a disastrous experiment at Porton Down.
This was before the age of test tube babies. Contents stirred in a galvanised bucket.
Eventually wired up using off cuts of D10 Comm’s cable
This will explain some short circuits in the system.
Took the Queens shilling at 15 and handed my kit back 28 years later.
‘The Prisoner’ watched as a child inspired my desire for 7esque cars.
The ‘desire’ lead to a Robin Hood 3a.
A visit to ‘The Heath’ one Saturday and meeting a Crusty Chief flogging
a V8 lead to me bringing the Robin Hood Owners Club on a regular basis.
This is were I first met Fangio, a short, rotund, moustachioed Senior Instructor.
Some Sprinting and two kits later saw me racing with Tiger and the RAFMSA
At Mallory Park. The is were I first met a short bespeckled angry Mini driver
who ‘insisted’ I drive on the grass
Now on my 11th Sprint/Race car and have not bought a car all year.
Much fun with good people has been had between 2006 and now with like minded
people and equally those with unhinged minds.
Current car is a;
Tiger Avon in subtle yellow
2000cc Zetec engine.(Genuine 200,000 miles Guv', never been raced or thrashed)
No LSD
No Fancy gearbox, filled with thick oil to stop it sounding strait cut.
Here's to some more.
