Its Me Bill2b
Bill Brown
Years ago I had a go at BFG failure racing at Wildenrath, came 3rd in the final in my Mk1 Cavalier.
Years later I Built a Robin Hood kit car with my son Joey (Metroracer)
Met John, Jack whatever you want to call him Walton through the Robin Hood club when we had sprints at Barkston, Me and Joey loved it and the first event is covered on my old website www.joeybrown.co.uk
I did get a real telling off from a RAF type with a moustache and a home made yellow race car for having a wee on the far side of the garages. Years later when I was COC at the event I caught the same bloke taking a leak in the same place.
Billy Fletcher became a good friend and I was encouraged to take up the circuits. I took my Ards, my instructor was brilliant His name was Martyn and he was another who was a big help in my racing.
So now after quite a few seasons in My 205 Gti that cost less than the gear knob on Ed Fullers tiger I have quite a few trophies and some great memories.
I also hold the record for the shortest ever endurance race (6 seconds) and got myself on TV for that
Looking forward to more fun social and motoring
