Garage electric plan Empty Garage electric plan

Garage Electrics

Any domestic sparks in the house please. affraid

I have a cable coming out of the household consumer unit.

It goes from there to its own RCD then through the wall to the outside.

From the RCD onwards this is an armoured cable.

I don't spend a lot of evenings in the garage but would like some electricity.
I am not great with the electric string so I have come up with a simple plan, if it will work.

I intend to wire the 3 core armoured cable into a 3 gang caravan extension which has a built in RCD then mount this in the garage. What a Face

Is this feasible?
Any help appreciated.

Sounds feasible, but it will come down to how many amps you want to draw at once, what the fuse in the household consumer unit will let you draw and what the caravan unit will let you draw off as a total and from each circuit. You shouldn't need too much for lighting, or for general power tools, but if your welding you could be drawing 13A. Also any heaters would be drawing a lot as well.
